Sustainability
Sustainability is a top priority for HBM
We’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint and continually improving our practices to be more responsible and low-impact.

Sustainability isn’t a checkbox—it’s our operating principle. We prioritize environmental care and responsible resource management, preserving our surroundings and passing on a legacy of conscientious quarrying. With us, you gain exceptional materials while supporting ethical, low-impact practices. Together, we’ll build a better future, from the ground up.
Lowering our emissions
We minimise carbon emissions by sourcing close to site, choosing the shortest bulk transport routes, and maximising load weights wherever possible.

Australian sustainability standards for quarries (NSW)
In New South Wales (NSW), the sustainability standards for quarries are mainly governed by the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, both overseen by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA). These regulations ensure that quarry operations minimise their environmental impact through stringent guidelines and compliance measures.
